My dog just had his spleen removed, it was really enlarged. Can he live a healthy life without it? - how do i make my enlarged spleen better

Her spleen was probably 10-12 cm long and was sick with something. He had black spots on them. It begins in an emergency. had no white blood cells and had an iv steroids for 2 days to support the formation of white blood cells. It looks good and should be able to return home today.

Yes, your dog can live a normal, healthy lives without a spleen. Have not withdrawn your vet if the dog needs to live. You should contact your clinic for pets and share your concerns with your veterinarian. He / she will be happy to special instructions that you must maintain your pet can bring.

You can live without a spleen - dogs. I), a male, his spleen was removed in August (due to a tumor, while quite good.

His biggest concern would be if only the spleen involving cancer, and whether the cancer spreading to other areas before removal of the spleen. You can check with your vet what the problem was.

As for the speed itself should be without it in order.

Sorry to hear that. If the vet does not recommend the place to sleep, then you should be able to lead a normal life. I am sure that your veterinarian to discuss this when you will pick him up. Ask many questions, so do not worry. Good luck.
